In a recent development, Samsung is finally rolling out the Android 11 stable update for its 2019 A-series device, the Galaxy A60. It carrier model number SM-A6060.

Notably, the Galaxy A60 came with the Android 9 Pie out of the box. Later it bagged the stable Android 10 update back in April 2020. And now, exactly 1 year later, the phone is picking up the Android 11 update.

The thing to appreciate about Samsung is, it has never shied away from updating its devices, even the mid-rangers to the latest firmware.

Maintaining a huge portfolio of Android devices is a tough ask. But like a master of its arts, Samsung has been consistently delivering the Android 11 update along with the latest security updates to its devices.

Talking about the latest Android 11 update, it arrives with firmware version A6060ZCU3CUD3. The good thing about this update is that it also bumps the security patch level to March 2021.

This is a major software update. So, we would advise the owner of the Samsung Galaxy A60 to download this new update on a stable Wi-Fi internet connection.

It is unclear if Galaxy A60 Android 11 update brings One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1

As noted by Sammobile, there is no clarity regarding whether this Android 11 update for Galaxy A60 brings One UI 3.0 or One UI 3.1. We assume it is getting the One UI 3.0.

In any case, the update brings a ton of Android 11 related features. This includes Quick Settings toggle, notification bubbles, redesigned volume controls, revamped home screen design, new icons, video enhancer, improved privacy and security controls, etc.

The entire user interface gets an overhaul as well. Note that this update is currently live for Samsung Galaxy A60 users in China.

If you reside in China, then you should have received an update notification. Just like every other update, the update is currently rolling out via OTA in batches.

So, it won’t be available for everyone at the same time. Luckily, you can also trigger the update by manually checking for it.

In order to that, you need to head over to Settings. Then proceed over to System Updates. After that, tap on Download and Install. If the update is available, then you should receive an update notification.

Tap on the update notification to start downloading and installation of the update on your device. Besides, if the update is not available, then you may need to wait for the rollout to expand for more users.
