Motorola One Hyper

Motorola has started rolling out the Android 11 update to the One Hyper. The device is picking up the new update in Brazil with software version RPF31.Q1-21-20. The update also bundles the March 2021 Android security patch.

As for new features and enhancements, you can expect plenty of them. The Android 11 update for the Motorola One Hyper should pack all the goodies that are part and parcel of Android OS's latest iteration. Moreover, the new software also includes some tweaks and add-ons from Motorola as well.

The latest update brings improvements to screen transition animations and audio equalizer with a new Moto Audio feature. With this feature, your phone automatically identifies the type of media you're playing and the output device (phone's speaker, headphones, or other connected audio devices), and adjusts the sound for that experience. Moto Audio is turned on by default but you can choose to turn it off.

The Motorola One Hyper also gets the Moto Gametime feature with the latest update. It gives you easy access to tools and settings that enhance your gaming experience. Moto Gametime lets you block notifications and calls while gaming, with the ability to select caller exceptions as well as allow repeat callers. The former allows calls from a pre-selected contact to come through even if you have blocked calls. The latter, meanwhile, lets a call come through while gaming if the same person calls a second time within 15 minutes.

Other Moto Gametime features include the ability to disable adaptive brightness, turn on audio enhancements, and block edge display. You can also add up to two shortcuts to social apps for quick access while gaming. Last but not least, it brings an L/R trigger which you can use to perform custom actions.

Moto Display is part of this update as well. It shows you a sneak peek of your notifications, even when your display is off. These are, of course, only a few of the new features that Motorola One Hyper is getting with the Android 11 update. Expect plenty more changes and improvements under the hood.

Motorola One Hyper gets Android 11 update

Motorola announced the One Hyper back in December 2019. The Snapdragon 675-powered mid-ranger debuted in January 2020 running Android 10, with the company promising to update it to Android 11 down the line. Motorola eventually began testing the Android 11-based software for the One Hyper in January this year. A couple of months later, a stable build is now rolling out to the public.

As said before, the Android 11 update for the Motorola One Hyper is currently rolling out to users in Brazil. The rollout should expand to other regions in the coming weeks. If you own a Motorola One Hyper, be on the lookout for this update.
