It seems like Motorola devices are picking up the pace in receiving the Android 11 update. The latest Motorola smartphone to bag the Android 11 update is Moto G Fast.

Motorola launched the Moto G Fast last year in June. It came with an Android 10 operating system out of the box. Cut to now, it is now receiving the stable Android 11 update.

This budget-friendly smartphone is not only getting all the goodies of Android 11, but the update also brings the February 2021 security patch. Not the latest one, but at least it is something.

Reportedly, as per a Reddit user, the update is currently live for Motorola Moto G Fast in the United States. This is the first major firmware update for the phone.

Motorola UI is free from bloatware. However, there are some apps, but they are there to enhance the user experience of using a Motorola phone.

The Motorola Moto G Fast Android 11 update arrives with firmware version RPJ31.Q1-53-12. The size of the update is not known, unfortunately. We would advise Moto G Fast users to download the update on a stable Wi-Fi network.

This update adds chat bubbles, conversations tab, and other Android 11 goodies

Talking about the Android 11 features, after updating, users will get features like chat bubbles, a conversation section in the notifications area, a one-time permissions option, dedicated media playback widget, and much more.

To recall, Moto G Fast comes with a Snapdragon 665 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. The device sports a 6.4-inches 720p display.

It comes with a triple-camera setup with a 16MP primary camera, 8MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro lens. There is a punch hole at the front that houses an 8MP camera for selfies.

The fingerprint scanner is mounted at the back. Overall, the phone is a decent package for the asking price. And this Android 11 update just adds a cherry on top.

If you have not yet received the update notification, then you can also check for it manually. To do so, Settings. Then tap on About Phone. Finally, tap on System updates.

Your phone will begin searching for the new update. If there is a new Android 11 update live in your region, then you can tap on the notification. It will download and install the latest firmware update for your Moto G Fast.

As already mentioned, this Android 11 update is the first major firmware update for the Moto G Fast smartphone. We expect the company to treat Moto G Fast owners with one more firmware update in the future.
