Call Of Duty Warzone Season 3 6

Lace up your combat boots and put on Purple Rain, because Call Of Duty: Warzone is bringing Verdansk back to 1984 for season 3. This week, Call Of Duty: Warzone had its Verdansk map nuked to high heaven.

And when the dust settled, what players were met with was a map revamp. As Call Of Duty: Warzone season 3 brings the map back in time, there are a whole lot of changes players are going to be seeing. And may of them will shape the way players tackle objectives and face off against their opponents.

The new map is already live so players can drop in and experience things first-hand. But Activision has also laid out some of the biggest changes in case anyone wants to know what they’re getting into prior to the chaos. Which, isn’t such a bad idea as it could allow you to strategize a little better.

Call Of Duty: Warzone season 3 adds the Summit map from the original Black Ops

Call Of Duty Warzone Season 3 5

If you’ve played Call Of Duty: Black Ops, or even Call Of Duty: Mobile, then you should be familiar with Summit. It’s a popular map from both games, originating in Black Ops when it released years ago.

Activision has brought Summit back to life and has integrated it into the Verdansk map. The location is called Gora Summit, and features level elements like working gondolas that you can ride from one end of the location to the other. There’s also two helipads opposite each other which could serve as excellent landing points if you’re able to snag a helicopter.

Or you could simply post up in one of the two command centers. Gora Summit replaces the dam location.

Hide yourself amongst the new plant life

Call Of Duty Warzone Season 3 1

Sometimes you get caught out in the open while traveling around Verdansk. Or sometimes you’re just trying creep up on enemies who may be hiding in a location you want for yourself.

In both situations, the various plant life around Verdansk can provide some decent cover. In this new version of the map, many trees now have more foliage. Some of the grass is longer. And some of the flora and fauna are more colorful.

All of these changes can help shake up the meta and may just keep you alive. Or obscure you enough so that your enemy doesn’t see you approaching. Either way, familiarize yourself with the surroundings. Because it may give you an edge.

Additional entry and exit points in various buildings

Call Of Duty Warzone Season 3 4

If this is your first time in Warzone, there’s one thing you want to learn pretty quickly. That there is usually more than one entry or exit point to just about every location on the map. So you may never be totally safe.

Meaning it’s just as easy for an enemy to slip away as it is for you to get the jump on them. Or them on you. With this Verdansk revamp for season 3, some of the buildings across the map will have additional entry and exit points. So plan accordingly the next time you try to sneak in somewhere or defend against invaders.

There are plenty of other changes around the map worth looking into. Even new weapons and operators. If you want to see the full list of the biggest changes, you can do so in Activision’s blog post.
