The Clubhouse app is finally available in the Google Play Store, in beta form. There’s a catch, though. The problem is, the app is still invite-only, though we do hope that will change in the near future.

At the end of March, Clubhouse founder, Paul Davison, said that the Android version of the app is still months away. Well, maybe he was referring to the stable build, as the beta variant is now listed on the Play Store.

Clubhouse is finally available on Android, but only in beta form… and you’ll need an invite

Do note that not only will you need an invite to use it, but it’s also not a late beta build. Still, reports claim that the app works really well for what it is, so it may be further along in development than we may think.

Clubhouse has been quite popular on iOS. The app was installed 9.6 million times worldwide in February, while it marked 2.7 million installs in March. In April, however, those numbers dropped to 922,000 installs.

Now, if you navigate to the link provided below the article, you’ll be taken to Clubhouse’s Play Store page. At the moment, all you can do is reserve your username, and be thrown to the waiting list.

Let’s hope that the company will ditch the invite system soon

If you do have an invite, things are a bit different, of course, and you’ll be able to use it. Let’s hope that Clubhouse will shed invites even before the app reaches the stable channel.

Twitter’s Spaces emerged as a competitor to Clubhouse (one of them), so the company is probably eager to offer its app on Android as soon as possible. It needs to fight for users on the platform.

We’ve included some screenshots of the app in the gallery down below. So, you can, at least, take a look at its design, even though you can’t use it at the moment. Well, most of you won’t be able to use it just yet.
