The OnePlus 9 Pro has one of the best displays I’ve personally tested, and DisplayMate seems to agree. The company tested the OnePlus 9 Pro’s QHD+ LTPO AMOLED display, and gave it an excellent A+ rating.

DisplayMate says that the OnePlus 9 Pro display is “visually indistinguishable from perfect”

The OnePlus 9 Pro’s panel set or matched 13 smartphone display performance records. DisplayMate notes that 5 of those 13 records were “visually indistinguishable from perfect”, which is high praise.

The OnePlus 9 Pro display’s Natural mode can actually automatically select the right color gamut for the content. It can choose between sRGB, DCI-P3, or a number of other color gamuts to adjust the display.

This display’s Advanced AMOLED Wide Gamut Mode covers 139-percent of sRGB and 110-percent of DCI-P3. The OnePlus 9 Pro actually came really close to offering the widest color gamut ever measured, says DisplayMate.

This display is made by Samsung, by the way, but OnePlus did a lot of tweaking on it, in order to adapt it to the OnePlus 9 Pro, and for it to produce the best results possible.

DisplayMate says that this display also has high marks on contrast accuracy and intensity scale accuracy. On top of that, it’s quite bright, it has 1,300 nits peak brightness, and it offers different modes that prioritize either brightness or color accuracy.

This display is excellent for outdoor use

The OnePlus 9 Pro has only 4.4-percent screen reflectance, which is great for outdoor use. This was also one of the best screen reflectance results that DisplayMate ever measured.

What’s interesting is that DisplayMate managed to measure 1,655 nits of brightness with Auto Brightness turned off. This goes well over 1,300 nits that OnePlus said this display offers.

Another thing worth noting is that the display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 480Hz touch sampling rate. In our testing, it’s extremely responsive, and a joy to use, to say the least.
