The Samsung Galaxy A12 has found its way to the US, thanks to AT&T. This smartphone originally launched at the end of last year, by making its way to several markets. Those markets were India, Singapore, South Korea, and the UK.

The Galaxy A12 is available for $179.99 in the US, from AT&T

The phone launched in India back in February, and now it’s making its way to the US. Needless to say, the Galaxy A12 is a budget phone. This smartphone is priced at $179.99 in the US, as an unlocked unit.

AT&T launched it quietly on its website. Do note that new users can open a new line or upgrade the existing one in order to choose an “eligible” unlimited plan and receive $150 worth of in-bill credits over a period of 30 months. That would bring down the phone’s price to $1 per month.

Do note that the Galaxy A12 that is on sale in the US is not the same phone that launched internationally. This model comes with a downgraded camera system.

It comes with a downgraded camera system

The international model’s 48-megapixel main camera has been replaced by a 16-megapixel camera on this unit. Other specs are pretty much the same, though.

The phone features a 6.5-inch HD+ Infinity-V IPS LCD display. It is fueled by the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, and it includes 3GB of RAM. The phone is also equipped with 32GB of storage, and that storage is expandable.

A 5,000mAh battery sits on the inside of this phone, while Android 10 comes pre-installed. A 16-megapixel camera on the back is backed by two 2-megapixel cameras, while a single 8-megapixel unit sits on the front.
