The Samsung Galaxy F52 5G was expected to launch as a rebranded Galaxy A52. That won’t be the case after all, it seems. The Galaxy F52 5G just leaked, and it looks different than the Galaxy A52.
Hands-on photos of the device surfaced, and as you can see, it has a display camera hole in the top-right corner. The Galaxy A52’s is centered. Its rear camera setup also looks different than what the Galaxy A52 offers.
The Galaxy F52 5G, at least the model we can see in the images provided below, comes with a glossy back panel. We’re guessing that is a plastic backplate, by the way.
The Galaxy F52 5G is rumored to feature an HD+ TFT LCD display instead of an AMOLED panel. That’s also something different compared to the Galaxy A52. So, the design won’t be the only differentiating factor.
A side-facing fingerprint scanner will be placed on this device. The Snapdragon 750G is expected, though, the same chip that fuels the Galaxy A52. It will likely use a 64-megapixel main camera as well, the same one as its sibling.
The device is rumored to include a 4,350mAh battery, with 25W fast charging. The phone won’t be water and dust resistant, and its display won’t support a high refresh rate. That display will likely measure 6.5 inches, by the way.
Android 11 will come pre-installed on the device, along with One UI 3.1 skin. A 3.5mm headphone jack will be a part of the package, and the device is expected to arrive in dark blue, gray, and white color variants. More color options may become available.
As you can see in the provided images, the phone’s display will be flat, while its backplate will also be mostly flat. The edges won’t be sharp, but other than that, the phone’s front and back sides will be flat. The device does have a bit of bezel below its main display, more than on any other side.
