Reportedly, Google is rolling out some new Google Assistant features. These new family-friendly features would help you reach your family members via the Google Assistant family broadcast.

Broadcast is one of the popular features of Google Assistant. Now, with the addition of some new features, whenever you broadcast a message to your family, they will now be able to respond to it.

Moreover, they can make use of any device, be it smart speakers, smart displays, iPhones, or Android phones, to respond to the Google Assistant family broadcast message.

This is really very convenient, as there is no need to go to the specific device to reply to the broadcast message. You can simply take out your phone and respond to the message.

On top of this, Google is also rolling out two new Family Bell reminders. This includes reminding you to water the plants in your garden and alert kids to keep the house clean. Besides, users will now be able to end a Family Bell reminder just by saying “Stop.”

However, do note that you can stop the Family Bell only in English at the moment. The good thing is that Google is already planning to expand this feature to eight other languages. The languages include French, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Hindi, and Korean.

Google Assistant is also getting new stories and games

There is one more feature associated with Family Bell. Users can now have Family Bell reminder ring across multiple devices at one time.

Further, Google is also adding a bunch of new stories and games to Google Assistant. You can access them from any Android device or a smart display.

Google Assistant users will now be able to access the “Who Was?” series from Penguin Random House. To access it, you need to say to your smart display, “Hey Google, talk to Who Was Heroes.”

In order to access the newly added stories, you can say, “Hey Google, tell me a story.” This will show you all the stories that are currently available.

Popular game shows like “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader” are also added. Users can play them on their Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max. Just say, “Hey Google, talk to ‘Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?” to play the trivia game.

Lastly, Google has added some songs to help kids do their chores, and stay focused. Simply say, “Hey Google, Sing the cleanup song” or “Hey Google, Sing the go to sleep song,” or “Hey Google, Sing the brush your teeth song.”
