Whenever it comes to deciding on the next smartphone you are going to purchase, there are a few things to consider. Performance, features, and hardware. For the most part, OnePlus devices have always hit all three of these marks, but there has also been a glaring omission – wireless charging. It wasn’t until the OnePlus 8 Pro that the company added wireless charging capabilities to the mix, which has since translated to this being available with the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro.
OnePlus Nord N10 5G Review: This doesn’t feel like a $300 phone
Last year, OnePlus took a different approach with its smartphone marketing, as the company introduced the Nord series. The Nord is a more budget-friendly option, aiming to take on the likes of the Moto G series and other sub-$500 devices. With the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, you’re getting some fantastic hardware, solid battery life, and an overall great experience for around $300.
But in a world where wireless chargers are a dime-a-dozen, having the ability to wirelessly charge your device is extremely convenient. Although OnePlus didn’t bring this functionality to the Nord N10 5G, there’s a pretty awesome way to add wireless charging.
With the help of a wireless charging adapter, you can bring wireless charging to the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. There quite a few different options available if you search through Amazon, but out of the bunch, these are the options that we would recommend.
The first question that you might have is whether this actually works, and then how well does it work? As someone who relies far too heavily on wireless charging, I don’t like having a device that doesn’t include this. Wireless chargers help keep clutter to a minimum, even though charging speeds aren’t nearly as fast as connecting a traditional wire.
After you get the wireless charging adapter, the setup process is pretty straightforward:
At a minimum, the wireless charging adapter will allow for charging speeds up to 5W, which is pretty slow but still gets the job done. Other adapters provide speeds up to 7.5W, while more expensive options provide up to 10W of speed, so you’ll just need to find the right charger for your needs.
The only qualm that you may have about adding a wireless charging adapter to your Nord N10 5G is that you have to use a case. This will keep the adapter in place, so you can plop it on your favorite wireless charger whenever you see fit. In the event that you’re not a fan of using a case, then you’ll have to deal with plugging and unplugging the adapter, which can open the door for the ribbon cable to be damaged accidentally.
It’s all great and fine and dandy if you get the wireless charging adapter, but you actually need to get a solid wireless charger to go with it. There are more wireless chargers available than you can count, but we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite recommendations.
