The Huawei Watch 3 seems to be on the way, and it will ship with HarmonyOS. HarmonyOS, as many of you know by now, is Huawei’s very own OS. That software is also rumored to come pre-installed on the Huawei P50 series smartphones.

The Huawei Watch 3 allegedly coming with HarmonyOS & eSIM

Huawei has been banned from using Google services on its devices, and it decided to create a new OS because of it. HarmonyOS is Huawei’s response to all this, and it will be interesting to see what will it offer.

The Huawei Watch 2 launched back in 2017, and it shipped with Wear OS. Since then, Huawei released quite a few “Watch GT” products, which shipped with its very own software. Well, it seems like Huawei is switching its focus yet again.

Do note that this information is coming from Weibo, from a well-known Chinese tipster. He did also share what seems to be a screenshot of the watch’s UI, showing a number of its apps. It seems like Huawei is planning for a huge UI revamp here.

Huawei Watch 3 HarmonyOS UI leak

What’s interesting, is that the interface shown here, looks different from what was shown back in September. HarmonyOS watch demo was shown back then, and this looks considerably different.

The watch is said to include “advanced AI features”

It is tipped that the watch will focus on advanced AI features, and that it may offer shorter battery life than the Huawei Watch GT 2. That watch lasted for about two weeks for us, during our review period.

The Huawei Watch 3 will also, allegedly, include an eSIM. Such functionality will enable mobile data connectivity. It will, however, probably depend on where you buy the watch, we’ll see.

We’re not sure when will this watch launch, but it’s possible it will arrive alongside the Huawei P50 series. The Huawei P50 series launch has, allegedly, been postponed to June. More info will probably follow soon.
