Despite the fact that many businesses are starting to bring employees back to the office, there are still going to be millions of people working from home. And Jabra has a pair of new cameras that are going to make working from home a bit easier.
Jabra is introducing the PanaCast 50 intelligent video bar and the PanaCast 20 personal camera, which will “reinvent the meeting room”.
The PanaCast 50 will effectively take the “director” role of your meeting. It will adjust the video stream to follow the action of the meeting. It allows the PanaCast 50 to detect active speakers and the flow of conversation. Which delivers a remote meeting experience that’s fully immersive and responsive. But it still won’t fix those meetings that could have been an email.
The PanaCast 50 is able to deliver two streams simultaneously, allowing the device to perform multiple functions at once.
The other camera that Jabra is announcing today is the PanaCast 20. And this is a much smaller camera that can actually fit in your pocket. Making it great for keeping in a drawer in your desk, or even for travel, when business travel starts up again.
It’s flexible, and allows for secure video collaboration no matter where you are. It is able to deliver 4K HDR video, so you’re going to get some really clear video out of this one. Though that will also depend on your internet connection.
Jabra has also outfitted the PanaCast 20 with personalized intelligent zoom, intelligent light optimization, Edge AI processing and much more. It does work with most platforms, but works really well with Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
The Jabra PanaCast 50 will be available on June 15 in black and grey for $1195. While the PanaCast 20 will be available on August 1 in black, for just $299.
These aren’t just regular web cams, which explains why the prices are much higher than a webcam might be.
