If you want to save some money on a smartwatch, not necessarily in a deal but just in general on the starting price, consider the TicWatch Pro S from Mobvoi.
The company just launched the new wearable today and it's already up for purchase on the Mobvoi website. You can also grab it on Amazon, with both retailers selling it for the suggested price of $260 ($259.99).
As this is a budget-minded smartwatch option, you're headed for some savings should you settle on this model over others from the brand. But considering the TicWatch Pro S comes with a fairly old wearable chipset and is not much cheaper than Mobvoi's current top model, there may be a better option for you.
As smartwatch tech goes, the Snapdragon Wear 2100 is a pretty old chipset to be using in a device in 2021. Especially considering the Snapdragon Wear 3100 has been out for a while now and its successor is already here.
This could make it a touch sell for consumers when you can spend $40 more and get the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS instead, which uses the Snapdragon Wear 4100. Qualcomm's latest wearable platform. In fact if you really want a less expensive option, Mobvoi offers the TicWatch S2 which is only $120. And is arguably going to be the better bang for you buck in terms of value based on what you're getting.
Specs-wise, beyond the Snapdragon Wear 2100, the Pro S also has 8GB of storage and 1GB of RAM. As well as VO2 Max features and updated versions of other features like TicExercise and TicSleep.
It only comes in one color, Shadow Black, and carries a mostly sporty design.
One thing that's always generally important with a smartwatch is battery life. You won't be getting anything earth shattering with the TicWatch Pro S, but it won't really be worse than other options. It's actually quite on par with a lot of other Wear OS watches.
Which is to say it lasts for anywhere from 2 days to 30 days. Depending on whether or not you utilize some of the battery saving features. It also has built-in GPS and a 24-hour monitor, NFC, sleep tracking, and an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
All in all it's a mid-tier watch. And if you don't mind the older wearable platform powering the experience, you'll shave a few bucks of the price to get some of the same features as the TichWatch 3 Pro GPS.
