NVIDIA is expanding its GeForce NOW partnership with GOG, starting with CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Game Of The Year Edition, the famously popular open world RPG that came before Cyberpunk 2077.
This isn't the first time The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been available on GeForce NOW. So today's launch isn't about the arrival of the game on the platform for the very first time, as the Steam and Epic versions of it have been available for quite some time.
Today's launch does however mark the arrival of the GOG version of the game. If you bought the game on GOG, prior to today you would have also had to purchase the game through Steam or the Epic Games store if you wanted to play it on GeForce NOW.
Also worth noting is that all of the DLC should be included. Since the version being added is the Game Of The Year Edition.
The Witcher 3 is not the only new GOG game coming. It's actually one of four new GOG games being added. In addition to the third Witcher game, a GOG version of The Witcher 2: Assassin's of Kings Enhanced Edition is also being added.
As are two other Witcher game titles. The two remaining titles are Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, and The Witcher Adventure game. If you weren't already aware, GOG is run by CDPR. So that's why all of the new GOG games added today are from CDPR as well.
The expanded partnership could end up adding more games from CDPR in the future too. As there are still a few GOG versions of CDPR's other offerings that aren't available through GFN yet. That being said, all of the studio's games do exist on GFN in some form. Whether through Steam or Epic Games.
If the Witcher games aren't your bag, or you already own them through Steam, there are a handful of other games joining GFN today.
This includes five games in total. Which are Stronghold: Warlords, Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 4 which actually just launched for all platforms on March 11, Pascal's Wager: Definitive Edition, Uno, and Worker's & Resources: Soviet Republic.
All of these five games are Steam version releases. So if you don't own them through Steam, then you'll have to buy them to play them through GeForce NOW.
