OnePlus is preparing a gift for those of you who pre-order the OnePlus 9 or 9 Pro, it seems. According to Evan Blass, the OnePlus 9 Pro pre-orders will ship with a free pair of truly wireless earbuds, the OnePlus Buds Z.

Now, those of you who pre-order the regular OnePlus 9, will get a regular pair of OnePlus Buds Z. If you opt for the ‘Pro’ model, the Steve Harrington Edition will be included, according to the source.

Having said that, Evan Blass also revealed when pre-orders will start. He says that you’ll be able to pre-order the OnePlus 9 series starting on March 23. Coincidentally, that is the same day the phone is tipped to launch. So, it all fits.

OnePlus did tease an announcement for March 8, but that’s the day the company will only announce the OnePlus 9 series launch date. On top of that, OnePlus may announce its partnership with Hasselblad.

March 23 is almost certainly the launch date

Three OnePlus smartphones will arrive on March 23, the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9R. It seems like the OnePlus 9R units won’t come with a free pair of earbuds, or anything of the sort.

The OnePlus 9R will be inferior to its siblings, and it won’t ship with a flagship SoC. The Snapdragon 690 is tipped to be included, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.

In addition to three smartphones, OnePlus is also expected to announce a wearable during the event. The OnePlus Watch will become official, and that is the company’s very first smartwatch. We’re still not sure if that will be its final name, but it probably will.

Following its March 8 announcement, OnePlus will probably start teasing the upcoming devices, as the company usually does. It will probably confirm some aspects of the devices as well. Until then, check out our OnePlus 9 preview to get more information about all three smartphones.
