A lot can happen in a week. Just ask OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro owners. There is a new OxygenOS 11.2.2.2 update rolling out now. It has been a little more than a week and the new OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro have are getting yet another software update according to XDA-Developers.

The new update coming to grace new OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro owners brings plenty of bug fixes, and the March 2021 security patch. Of course, software updates are good so nobody is complaining. OnePlus has a cult following because of regular updates like this.

As stated the new update brings a fair amount of bug fixes plus the March 2021 patch along for the ride. The system overall will receive updates to improve, fix, and update some parts of it. Improvements include improving the charging stability to provide a better user experience.

Improvements to WhatsApp’s video clarity when giving video calls and improvements to the vibrating performance for games like COD and PUBG are included. For the things being fixed on the system level, users will see a fix for the issue of the time of Last Full Charge being reset after device resetting.

There is an issue where the low battery icon will not show in the status bar. The fix for that annoying issue is in the update as well. There is also a fix for a small probability that the device may restart while playing games. With the release of League of Legends: Wild Rift this fix could not have come soon enough.

Dark Mode will see a specific fix in the new update. There is a problem where the navbar of split-screen apps will not adapt to Dark Mode. That issue is now getting a fix. Now for anybody who is a tad let down by the camera performance, there are some camera improvements in the new update as well.

After hyping the Hasselblad partnership some were let down by the cameras' performance. Despite the camera improving over past OnePlus devices it still has some improvements that can be made. The new update is bringing some of those to users.

There will be improvements to the sharpness, noise, and white balance of the rear camera. There are also improvements to the white balance performance of the front camera as well. Both the zoom performance and camera stability will see improvements as well.

Now, for anybody who already has their OnePlus 9 or 9 Pro in hand, you can wait for the notification to update. However, nobody likes to wait. So you can head into settings and try to force the update by repeatedly pressing the update button.

Again, nobody likes to wait when they know something new is on the way. So if you are more of a hands-on person you can sideload the OTA update. XDA will have links to those files as well.
