Back in 2020, Samsung had a great run at the box office in the tablets category. It sold over 30 million tablets across the globe. Now, fresh reports hint it may soon launch the Galaxy A7 Lite tablet.
Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, remote learning and work-from-home became the new normal. This gave rise to people purchasing tablets for adding convenience to accomplish their tasks.
And as we all know how niche the Android tablet market has become, Samsung is probably the first name that pops up in our minds when we think of an Android tablet.
In these lines, Samsung's Galaxy Tab A7 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite were the best-selling tablets from the company. Fast forward to now, a trimmed-down version of the Galaxy Tab A7 is in the works.
According to the latest report by Sammobile, a tablet with model number SM-T225 was spotted on the Bluetooth SIG’s database. This certification document confirms the Galaxy A7 Lite tablet with Bluetooth 5.0 (with LE).
It seems like the company wants to bask in the opportunity of selling more tablets by introducing a toned-down version of the previous year's one of the best-selling Android tablets.
Samsung is not only planning to launch the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, but it is also going to launch the Galaxy S7 Lite tablet. Both the tablets are expected to launch sometime in June 2021.
Talking about Galaxy S7 Lite, it is reported to sport a 12.4-inch QHD LTPS LCD screen. There will be a 5G variant as well. The mid-range tablet could use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor coupled with 4GB RAM.
As for specifications of the Galaxy A7 Lite tablet is concerned, it is reported to support an 8.7-inch display. The tablet will rock a slim metal design.
The A7 Lite tablet will be inclined towards providing an immersive multimedia consumption experience. An earlier Geekbench listing had revealed that it could be powered by a MediaTek Helio P22T processor (MT8768WT).
Further, it will be paired with 3GB of RAM. Now, according to FCC certification, the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite could come with a USB Type-C port and a headphone jack.
It was also reported by the TUV Rheinland certification that the tablet is powered by a 5,100mAh battery. Moreover, it comes with 15W fast charging support.
On the software side of things, it could come with the latest Android 11 operating system with One UI 3.1 out of the box.
