Samsung is in the works of developing an impressive six new Galaxy Books. This news tip comes from a tweet by Max Jambor. With this news also comes word that at least one of those six new Galaxy Books will have support for S Pen usage.
Not much is known about these devices at the present moment. For example, there's no information about specs or launch dates. The only information that's available is in the list of codenames that Samsung has given them. The codenames are Mars, Venus, Titan, Hermes, Terra, and Saturn.
In the tweet, Jambor noted that he wasn't sure that "Terra" is a Galaxy Book, so the number may be five laptops and one mystery device. What's also unclear is which one will have S Pen support. The one with S Pen support is speculated to be the Galaxy Book Pro 360. It's only a rumor at this point, so take it with a grain of salt.
Much like with its phones, Samsung loads a ton of features into its laptops- and the prices really show! The main draw to its notebooks would have to be the displays. Samsung's higher-end Galaxy Books utilize QLED technology to make for a more robust viewing experience. What would a Samsung device be without an incredible display?
Their upper-tier Galaxy Book Flex 15.6" comes in at a whopping $1,300. It has a screen that can rotate 360 degrees, so it can be used as a tablet or in tent mode. It comes with 512 GB of storage, 12 GB of RAM, and it runs the Intel Core i7 processor. Its main focus is on productivity, and it boasts a stunning 20-hour battery life, but that all depends on usage.
Some of Samsung's Chromebooks seem overpriced for the type of things that you do with Chrome OS. Their Galaxy Chromebook 2 comes with the QLED display, a 10th generation Intel Core i3 processor, 256 GB of storage, and 8 GB of RAM. This retails for $699, which is a lot to swallow.
With these six new Galaxy Books coming down the line, fans of the brand will have something to be excited about. Samsung puts just as much technical know-how and care into their Galaxy Books as they do their Galaxy phones. There's no telling exactly when to expect these to be announced, but more news and leaks will pop up as the year goes on.
