Our phones are essentially tiny computers that fit into our pockets, but at the end of the day, there are certain things that a laptop or desktop PC can do that our phones can’t, plus it’s also a lot more comfortable.

At the same time, given how connected we are with our phones, switching back and forth can be annoying, but that’s something Huawei has figured out. In a video published online, it shows how the recently-launched Mate X2 foldable phone can interface with a computer quickly and easily.

The video shows the Mate X2 tapping on a Huawei MateBook laptop in which through the use of NFC, mirrors the screen of the phone on the computer. This means that if you needed to do some mobile stuff on your computer, you could mirror it to a laptop instead. This might be useful for apps that don’t have a desktop counterpart, or if you prefer using a larger screen or a more proper keyboard.

We’re not sure if this feature is limited and exclusive to the MateBook series of laptops, or if it will work with any laptop that supports NFC, but the former wouldn’t be surprising as we imagine that Huawei will probably want users to buy into its ecosystem.
