The OnePlus Watch is finally official after months of leaks and rumors, and OnePlus has been forthcoming about pretty much everything save for one or two key details.

The official entry into smartwatches for OnePlus with the OnePlus Watch comes in two different models. The Classic Edition model and a "luxury" Cobalt Edition. Now OnePlus isn't saying in so many words that its Cobalt Edition is a luxury smartwatch.

Rather it's sort of hinting that it has a more luxurious look and feel to it. Because that version of the OnePlus Watch is made with materials you generally only find on luxury time pieces. So OnePlus says.

The OnePlus Watch doesn't have an official launch date

OnePlus may have confirmed its entry into wearables, but it hasn't given out a launch date yet. In fact all it has said is that the watch will be coming soon. it did however mention pricing for the Classic Edition.

Consumers can pick up the Classic Edition for $159 in the US. And the watch will come in two different color options. Midnight Black and Moonlight Silver. Though there's no actual confirmed availability date, it should be soon.

OnePlus says that consumers should "stay tuned" to official OnePlus channels for more information. So it's likely the company will share more about when you can buy the watch at a later date.

Specs wise, you'll find what seems to be pretty standard components for the OnePlus Watch. it comes with a circular 1.3-inch AMOLED display, with 336 ppi and a stainless steel frame. The Cobalt Edition changes things up by using cobalt alloy for the frame instead.

The Classic and Cobalt editions also both use sapphire glass for the display. Which isn't a first for smartwatches like OnePlus claims, but it is a less common trait to find on wearables.

OnePlus says it has a 2-week battery life

Battery life is and will always be one of the most crucial factors in a smartwatch. For a majority of people at least. Without decent battery life you're left with having to toss it on the charger just about every single night.

But apparently that won't be an issue for the OnePlus Watch. And if that timing is accurate, then consumers are getting a good value given the $159 price point.

In addition to all that, the watch has an IP68 rating, more than 110 workout modes (including a parkour mode), and over 50 watch face options. It has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage for music and apps. So about the same as every other smartwatch out there.

Overall, you're looking at what appears to be a decent smartwatch option. And one that doesn't cost that much.
