Earlier this year, Razer announced the Tomahawk gaming PC during one of its Razer Store Live events, and now that gaming PC is up for sale.
The Tomahawk gaming PC is not to be confused with the two different models of the Tomahawk PC cases. Which Razer also sells. This particular machine is a fully built gaming PC with all of the necessary components inside. And the case is significantly different from the empty cases it sells for PC builders. Namely it doesn't have the two clear panels on the sides to see the inside of the PC that also act as doors for accessing hardware.
Instead, the Tomahawk gaming PC is housed inside an almost unassuming matte black box. It looks fairly close to Razer's Core external GPU docks. Though it sports a lit up Razer tri-snake logo on the front and it has Chroma lighting around the base. It also uses Razer's ingenious tool-less sled system on the back for access to the PC's hardware. When it eventually needs upgrades. All of that snazzy design and powerful hardware requires pretty deep pockets though. Because the Tomahawk gaming PC is by no means inexpensive.
If you've got the means, and you just can't find an NVIDIA RTX 3080 at a decent price by itself, you could spring for the whole unit with the Tomahawk at $3,199.99.
The PC is built on Intel's NUC system, and it houses a full-size desktop GPU, specifically the GeForce RTX 3080. It features active cooling and expandable storage, with an internal SSD with 512GB of space. There's also an additional 2TB HDD, and one empty slot for an additional M.2 drive if you need even more space.
For the CPU it's running Intel's 9th Gen Core i9-9980HK processor. And there's 16GB of DDR4 2667MHz RAM. So really, plenty of computing and graphical power for all of your work and games.
If $3,200 is a little out of the price range you were looking to spend, Razer also has a model without the GPU inside.
This NUC-only model comes with a lower price tag because you're providing your own GPU. This model retails for $2,400 ($2,399.99). This is obviously the optimal route to take if you already have a GPU to slot in. But right now Razer's website says the NUC-only model is out of stock. And Razer hasn't quite confirmed when it will officially be available.
So at the moment your only option is the fully built model. If it still strikes your fancy, you can grab it straight from Razer at the Razer Store website.
