Stadia 2

Final Fantasy may be the most popular JRPG franchise in Square Enix' roster, but Dragon Quest is potentially the most iconic, and this week Stadia players get access to the series.

Today, Google announced that Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age would be coming to Stadia. In fact the game is live on the Stadia store right this very moment. Which means you can buy and start playing it in less than five minutes if you want to.

Thanks to no downloads and the game being made available this morning. If JRPGs aren't your thing, or you simply like other types of games as well, there's more to look forward to this week.

The Stadia version of Dragon Quest XI is the definitive edition

Perhaps the two most exciting things about this release, outside of the fact that there's now a Dragon Quest title on Stadia, is that this is the definitive edition of the game, and it's on sale right now.

Because it's the definitive edition, this release version comes with loads of extra content included. For starters you can switch between the 3D and 2D graphics modes. You also get choices of the new grand orchestral version of the sound track or the original sound track. As well as new character scenarios and Japanese voice actor options for the dialogue.

As for the sale, the game is going to be cheaper for everyone for the next couple of weeks. Normally it will retail for $39.99. But if you purchase it between now and March 30 at 11:59 PM PST, you can pay just $31.99.

FIFA 21 launches tomorrow but you can play for free this week

If you're a FIFA nut, or just a sports game enthusiast, you can play FIFA 21 starting tomorrow when the game goes up for sale on the Stadia store. But if you'd rather gives things a shot before you buy, you'll have that opportunity too.

Google is launching a free play community day for FIFA 21 this week. Officially it starts on March 18 at 10AM PST, where you'll also be able to play with some of the Stadia team.

There's also a new free play days this week. This time around the game you can play for free is NBA 2K21. If you're interested in that, timing starts today and free play days went live at 9AM. It will stay free to play until 9AM PST on March 23. So you have an entire week to check it out.
