Three upcoming Motorola smartphones will utilize a 108MP camera sensor, according to TechnikNews. That very same source recently detailed the Motorola “Kyoto” smartphone, and is now bringing us more information about two additional devices.

TechnikNews mentions the Motorola “Berlin” and “Berlin NA”. Other than those two phones, and Motorola “Kyoto”, the “Sierra” is also expected to arrive. Needless to say, these are all just codenames.

Three upcoming Motorola smartphones are set to use a 108MP camera

The Motorola “Kyoto” was said to use a 108MP camera sensor from Samsung, the ISOCELL S4KHM2. Well, it seems like the “Berlin” and “Berlin NA” devices will also utilize 108MP cameras.

The Motorola “Berlin” is tipped to ship with a 108MP S4KHM2 camera, the same one as on the “Kyoto” The “Berlin NA”, on the other hand, will allegedly use the 108MP S5KHM2 sensor, a newer and more capable camera sensor.

Do note that the Galaxy S21 Ultra is using the HM3 sensor, so neither of these devices will use the same one. The source did share some more camera info, though.

Both phones will allegedly use a 32-megapixel OmniVision OV32B40 sensor for their selfie cameras. When it comes to the ultra-wide unit, the “Berlin” will use a 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16A10 unit. An 8-megapixel depth camera is also included.

The “Berlin NA” is tipped to utilize an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera from Samsung (S5K4H7), and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. That is basically it as far as the Motorola “Berlin” and “Berlin NA” are concerned.

At least one of four upcoming phones will probably be the company’s flagship

Based on all the information that we’ve seen, three out of four upcoming Motorola smartphones will utilize 108-megapixel cameras. The rumors are also saying that all of these phones will be released under the “Edge” branding.

Speaking of which, we don’t know when will they launch. The Motorola Edge and Edge+ arrived on April 22 last year, so it has been over a year since the company launched its flagships. We are expecting one of these upcoming “Edge” phones to be a flagship, but we don’t know when will they launch. Stay tuned, more information will probably surface soon.
