Finding the best truly wireless earbuds can be pretty tricky, especially since there are so many out there. With many of them being clear knockoffs of the Apple AirPods.
When it comes to truly wireless headphones, a lot of them are very similar, though some brands do have some new features that make them stand out. Particularly from Google, Sony and Jabra. So we're going to detail the very best truly wireless headphones that are available.
Some of the truly wireless earbuds in this list are noise cancelling, but the majority are not. To get noise cancellation, you normally need a full-on pair of headphones, and not just earbuds. But these do also offer up some really good audio quality – depending on the pair. As well as some decent audio quality. Those are two of the pillars that we used to determine which pair of truly wireless earbuds were the best.
These range in price from around $20 up to over $200. So you can really spend a fortune on truly wireless earbuds, depending on which features you really want/need.

There's a new "best" in the world of truly wireless earbuds, and that is the Galaxy Buds Pro. These were announced in January 2021, alongside the new Galaxy S21.
The Galaxy Buds Pro offer up active noise cancellation, along with Ambient Sound, and some huge improvements to the audio quality. Which make it the best pair of truly wireless earbuds on the market right now.
Samsung offers the Galaxy Buds Pro in a number of colors, including Phantom Silver, Phantom Violet and Phantom Black.

The Sony WF-1000XM3 are the best noise-cancelling truly wireless earbuds you can buy today, for a number of reasons. Firstly, because of its price. There are plenty of truly wireless earbuds at this price point, but none that offer the same sound quality, and features.
Sony WF-1000XM3 offer up noise cancellation, which is one of the few models on this list with that. Sony also includes Ambient Sound on the WF-1000XM3, allowing you to let in some background sound. Which is great if you are wearing these and walking down the street. So you can hear cars coming.
Battery life is also pretty decent here, we're looking at six hours of playback on a single charge. With the included carrying case, you'll get around 24 hours of playback.

If you're looking for the best pair of truly wireless earbuds with the Google Assistant built-in, the Pixel Buds are the best choice.
The Pixel Buds are made by Google, so of course the Assistant works really well here. You can tap on the earbud to access the Assistant. Have it read your notifications, answer your questions and so much more. Pixel Buds also have on-ear detection, so once you take them out of your ears, the audio will stop playing which is nice.
Audio quality on the Pixel Buds are actually pretty good. Not quite as good as the Sony WF-1000XM3 though, but similar. Battery life is also similar, around six hours of continuous playback. Which is pretty decent for a pair of truly wireless earbuds.

The Jabra Elite 85t are the next iteration of its popular Elite lineup of truly wireless headphones. It improves on battery life, sound quality and much more. With the Jabra Elite 85t truly wireless headphones, we're looking at 5.5 hours of battery life, along with 25 hours of playback from the charging case. So you can use these all week long before needing to charge them.
With the Jabra Sound+ app, you also have the ability to adjust the EQ to your own liking. Whether that is more bass, or maybe more rock.
There are also six mics included in the Jabra Elite 85t earbuds, so you can have crystal clear calls, even while you are walking down a busy street. As it does have active noise cancellation, and this works when listening to music and while taking calls. Which is incredible.
That is why the Elite 85t's are more expensive than the Elite 75t were. Because of active noise cancellation, and it does a really good job at cancelling out all of the sound around you.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Live are the best pair of truly wireless earbuds that Samsung currently offers. They do look a bit like beans, but that's okay.
The different shape of the Galaxy Buds Live allows them to fit in your ears a bit better, so they aren't falling out. They also offer up active noise cancellation, of course it's not the best, due to the open-backed design of the Galaxy Buds Live. But they do sound really good.
Galaxy Buds Live come in three colors: Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze and Mystic White.

The Anker Soundcore Life P2 may look like a knock-off of the Apple Airpods, but they are better than that. These offer up some really great sounding audio, especially for their price. There's also noise reduction here, for some better noise cancellation. Though it's not true noise cancellation.
The battery life on these is pretty impressive too actually. We're talking about seven hours of continuous playback. And you can still get 40 hours of playback with the included carrying case. That's going to be good for a week's worth of work!

The Master & Dynamic MW07 Plus are going to be the best truly wireless earbuds for audiophiles. Master & Dynamic are pretty well-known for audiophile quality audio anyways. So this isn't a big surprise.
The Master & Dynamic MW07 Plus are not super great looking, like some of the others that are on this list. They are also much larger, and part of that is due to the better audio quality that these have.
Surprisingly, these also offer some pretty decent battery life. We're looking at 10 hours on a single charge. But the larger earbuds is likely why they are much better in terms of battery life. The included carrying case offers three more charges for a total of 40 hours.

The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 are probably the best sub-$100 truly wireless earbuds that you can buy. And yes, they do look a lot like an AirPods clone. But that doesn't make these a bad pair of headphones.
These earbuds are lightweight and do also offer some decent battery life. The Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 offer up around seven hours of continuous playback. With the included carrying case, we're looking at around 28 hours of total listening time. So that's about three full recharges. Which isn't bad for such a small carrying case.
Audio quality, however, is not that great on the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2. Typically with Anker headphones, the bass is pretty weak. So expect that on these as well. But if you're okay with that, then these are a really great pair to pick up.
