Samsung is simply pushing the latest One UI 3.1 update for its devices left, right, and center. Now carrier variants are also joining the bandwagon as the Verizon Galaxy S10 series is now picking up the One UI 3.1 update.
Carriers, as usual, are a bit lazy in adopting the new features and improvements offered by the OEM. According to a report by Droid-life, the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update is now live for the Verizon Galaxy S10, S10+, and S10e.
The Verizon Galaxy S10 One UI 3.1 update brings a ton of new features. It brings all the upgrades and improvements over the One UI 3.0 custom UI.
For starters, it adds Google Discover feed integration, Google Home devices control Google Duo integration, video call effects. Further, it removes GPS location data from photos and Private Share, eye comfort shield, object eraser, etc.
There are also some new camera features such as Director's view, vlogger view, Single Take 2.0, Focus enhancer, and much more. Additionally, there are some minor changes like vibration patterns, custom call backgrounds, portrait videos, etc.
The One UI 3.1 update for Verizon Galaxy S10 owners is arriving with software version G973USQU5GUBH, Verizon Galaxy S10+ will have G975USQU5GUBH, and Verizon Galaxy S10e will have G970USQU5GUBH.
The good thing about this new Verizon Galaxy S10 One UI 3.1 update is that it brings the latest March 2021 security patch. It is nice that carrier variants are also updated to the latest security patch.
Similar to other updates, this Verizon Galaxy S10 update is seeding via OTA in batches. Meaning that it will take some time before hitting all the Galaxy S10 carrier models.
However, if your device detects the update, then you can tap on the notification and install it on your device. Besides, if the system does not detect the update, luckily you can manually trigger it.
In order to that, you need to head over to Settings. Then you need to go to System updates. After that, tap the Download and install option. You can proceed with downloading and installation of the update if a new updater detects a new update.
Taking a cue from Verizon, other carrier models should also speed up the process of pushing the One UI 3.1 updates for the Samsung device's portfolio.
Other Verizon carrier models of Samsung should also pick up the One UI 3.1 update in the coming weeks. So, stay tuned for more information.
