Good news for Verizon Motorola One 5G owners. Android 11 update is now rolling out for the Verizon Motorola One 5G smartphone.
Notably, the Motorola One 5G smartphone was launched back in 2020 in the US. It came with Android 10 out of the box. But now, the stable Android 11 update is released by Verizon for the device.
This will be the fourth major system update for the Motorola One 5G smartphone released by the Big Red Verizon. Apart from all the goodies of Android 11, the update also bumps the security patch level to March 2021.
To recall, the Motorola One 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 765 5G chipset coupled with 4GB RAM. It sports a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary lens.
Under the hood, it comes with a 5,000 mAh battery. The display on the phone is 6.7-inches and there is a dual punch-hole in the front that houses two cameras, i.e. 16MP and 2MP.
Talking about the Android 11 features, users will get features like chat bubbles, a conversation section in the notifications area, a one-time permissions option, dedicated media playback widget, and much more.
Going through the changelog, the update also brings several Motorola-specific features as well. Motorola is known to provide a clean and close to stock user experience.
The Android 11 update for Verizon Motorola One 5G arrives with software version RPN31.Q1-51-30-1. The size of the update is now known.
But considering the features of this update, we would advise the owners to make use of a stable Wi-Fi internet connection to download this update on their phone.
For more information on this update, you can head over to the official Verizon software update page. As usual, the update is seeding via OTA in batches.
Meaning it won’t be available for everyone right away. However, you can also manually check for the update under the Settings menu of your phone.
In order to do so, go to Settings. Then tap on About Phone. Finally, tap on System updates. Your phone will begin searching for the new update.
If there is a new Android 11 update live for your Verizon Motorola One 5G phone, then you can tap on the notification. It will download and install the latest firmware update for your Verizon Motorola One 5G UW.
The update went live on April 23. So, we expect the OTA to be available for all Verizon Motorola One 5G users in the coming days.
