iQOO has announced a brand new flagship, the iQOO 7 Legend. This smartphone is made out of metal and glass, and it has a flat display. That display features really thin bezels, and there are three cameras on the back.

The phone sports a display camera hole, which is centered at the top of its display. You’ll notice vertical stripes on the back of this phone, and the company refers to them as “racing stripes”.

The iQOO 7 Legend offers Snapdragon 888 SoC, 66W charging, four cameras & more

The phone is fueled by the Snapdragon 888 SoC, and it features a 6.62-inch fullHD+ (2400 x 1080) AMOLED display. That is a 120Hz display, and it supports HDR10+ content, while it also gets quite bright (1,300 nits max brightness).

The device is equipped with 8GB / 12GB of (LPDDR5) RAM and 128GB / 256GB (UFS 3.1) of internal storage. Android 11 comes pre-installed on the phone, along with Funtouch OS 11.1.

A 4,000mAh battery is included in the package, and it supports 66W fast wired charging. Wireless charging is not included. The phone has a huge vapor chamber, and a liquid cooling system for all your gaming needs.

A 48-megapixel main camera (Sony’s IMX598 sensor) is backed by a 13-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera (120-degree FoV), and it doubles as a macro camera. A 13-megapixel portrait camera (50mm lens) is also included. A single 16-megapixel camera can be found on the front.

The phone does include two speakers, and offers Hi-Res certification. It comes with Bluetooth 5.2, and it supports 5G connectivity.

The iQOO 7 is a more affordable variant of the ‘Legend’

In addition to announcing this phone, iQOO also presented the iQOO 7. That is a slightly less powerful variant of the ‘Legend’. It comes with the Snapdragon 870 SoC, and a very similar design to the ‘Legend’.

This handset offers a slightly larger battery, a 4,400mAh unit, while it supports 66W charging as well. It has the same main and ultra-wide cameras, but the third camera is a 2-megapixel mono unit. The front-facing camera is the same.

The phone has the same display as the ‘Legend’, and the same goes for Bluetooth and the speakers. The software is the same, while the phone comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. The 8GB RAM unit comes in both 128GB and 256GB flavors, while the 12GB RAM variant includes 256GB of storage.

These two phones are meant to be sold in markets outside of China. Only the pricing for India is known at the moment, other price tags will be announced soon. For example, the iQOO 7 Legend starts at INR31,990 ($482), which is, needless to say, quite affordable for a Snapdragon 888 flagship.
