Just Cause Mobile is inching closer to its release later this year, and to get players hyped Square Enix has revealed a cinematic trailer.

This isn't the first trailer for Just Cause Mobile that's popped up. The previous one that accompanied the game's initial announcement wasn't cinematic though. And instead was mostly gameplay. This new trailer is meant to provide a little bit of backstory for the game and deliver a new look at what to expect from that side of things.

That being said, it's worth keeping in mind that there is absolutely no dialogue in this trailer whatsoever. So you should temper your expectations a little in terms of how much you'll actually learn about the story.

The Just Cause Mobile cinematic trailer is nothing but a hype machine

Don't get us wrong, cinematic trailers are great. They can provide ample excitement and necessary entry into the world of the game from a story standpoint. But you're not getting much of that here.

While the trailer is intended to provide some backstory, as mentioned above there is absolutely no dialogue. That makes it a little challenging to figure out what the story is that Square Enix is trying to tell. And because of that, this cinematic trailer feels more like just a hype machine than something with substance that can actually build up the game's narrative prior to launch.

This is especially true when you compare it to cinematic trailers for other games. Like World Of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV. Both of which deliver cinematics that go out of their way to tell a rich story. Still, this new trailer for Just Cause Mobile is worth a watch. Even if you didn't have any interest in the game from the announcement trailer, give this one a try and see if it sparks any excitement for the game's release.

Free-to-play fun for Just Cause fans

If you're a fan of the series on PC and consoles, then you may want to give the game a shot once it launches later this year. It'll be free-to-play so there will probably be micro transactions to help Square Enix monetize it.
