Samsung has a new pair of truly wireless (TWS) earbuds in the works, called Galaxy Buds 2. Unlike some other upcoming Samsung devices, these wearables haven’t been subject to many leaks so far. However, we still have a fair bit of idea on what to expect from the new earbuds. Now, we also know what colors they will be available in, thanks to the folks over at Samsung-focused Dutch publication Galaxy Club.

According to the new report, the Galaxy Buds 2 will come in at least four color options: black, white, purple, and green. The green color is reportedly the same shade that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will also be available in. Earlier reports have suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 will come in no less than eight color options, namely beige, black, dark blue, gray, green, light pink, light violet, and white. The Galaxy Z Fold 3, on the other hand, will be available in beige, black, green, and silver colors at the very least.

Galaxy Buds 2 color scheme revealed

The latest report doesn’t reveal much about the Galaxy Buds 2 apart from their color scheme. It follows a report last month that claimed the new buds will be available in a “wide array of pastel shade colorways” that would give them a “punchy look.”

The previous report had also revealed a few other details about the upcoming wearables. Most importantly, the reports claimed the Galaxy Buds 2 will be Samsung’s cheapest TWS offering to date. The new pair will reportedly succeed the original Galaxy Buds announced in early 2019.

For reference, the Galaxy Buds 2 bears the model number SM-R177, which is in the same lineup as the original Galaxy Buds (SM-R170) and the Galaxy Buds+ (SM-R175). The newer Galaxy Buds Live and the Galaxy Buds Pro bear the model numbers SM-R180 and SM-R190 respectively.

These buds come costlier as well, with the Galaxy Buds Pro debuting at $200. On the other hand, the Korean firm is reportedly targeting a price segment of around $100 for the Galaxy Buds 2.

Lowered price means the Galaxy Buds 2 will also miss out on a number of premium features. It will lack active noise cancellation (ANC) immersive 360 audio. However, Samsung might offer a larger battery capacity with the new buds as it’s said to get a larger case. This should allow for improved battery life.

All these are unconfirmed reports, so we will have to wait for more details to emerge. There are indications that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy Buds 2 in June. However, the company is likely to host an Unpacked event for the two upcoming foldables in July or August. So that could be an ideal stage to launch the Galaxy Buds 2 as well. We will keep you updated as and when we have more information.
