Along with the extensively leaked Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Samsung is also preparing to launch another ‘Lite’ tablet – the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite. Both devices are said to break cover sometime next month and have been subject to multiple leaks in recent times. Freshly leaked renders have now given us a closer and clearer look at the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite and its accessories.
But before that, we have an interesting bit of information about this device to share with you. Reliable industry insiders Roland Quandt and Max Jambor have both claimed that “there is no such thing as a Galaxy Tab S7 Lite”. Instead, this tablet will arrive as the Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. That’s a weird name (Plus and Lite at the same time) but Samsung surely knows what it’s doing.
Anyways, let’s now talk about the newly leaked renders. They come courtesy of none other than Evan Blass, who had given us our first look at the upcoming Galaxy tablet last month. The new renders tell more of the same story. The tablet has fairly thin bezels, comparable to the non-Lite Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. Much like the more expensive duo, the new tablet also has its selfie camera positioned on the side bezel, rather than at the top, because Samsung thinks it’s a device that will be mostly used in landscape mode.
Despite being a cheaper model, the Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite borrows several other similarities as well. Its protective cover will come with two S Pen holsters. There’s a cutout at the back to allow the stylus pen to magnetically attach to the tablet. Moreover, there’s also a slot to safely keep the S Pen hidden inside the hinge.
Previous reports have suggested that the purported Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite will arrive in at least four color options: black, green, pink, and silver. A light green color variant may also be in the works. The black-colored device was spotted in renders last month. The latest leak now gives us our first look at the tablet in a pink (rose gold) color, along with its S Pen.
Moreover, the new leak suggests that the protective Book Cover accessory will be available in at least five colors: black, blue, gray, light green, and pink (rose gold). The same color scheme should apply to the S Pen as well.
The latest images also show a dual rear camera setup without an LED flash and a USB Type-C port. There’s also a speaker grill visible at the bottom. The tablet is rumored to get AKG-tuned dual stereo speakers, so the other should be at the top. It has its power button, volume rockers, and the SIM tray on the right.
Reports suggest that the Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite would measure 284.77 x 185.04 x 6.34 mm in dimension. That’s a footprint similar to the Galaxy Tab S7+. Well, the ‘Plus Lite’ name makes some sense now. The device is as big as the Galaxy Tab S7 ‘Plus’ but will pack ‘Lite’ internals. Talking about internals, the device will likely pack the Snapdragon 750G chipset with at least 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
According to the source, the new renders correspond to the 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S7+ Lite. However, the 4G version should look identical as well. Expect to see more of this tablet in the coming weeks, as we inch closer to its official introduction next month.
