The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 SoC has seemingly been revealed thanks to a tipster. The information has been revealed by Tron, and no, it’s not the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
The phone does include a powerful processor from Qualcomm, but not its flagship. Tron says that he has been hearing that the Z Flip 3 will feature the Snapdragon 870 instead. That is quite a powerful chip in its own right.
The Galaxy Z Flip featured the Snapdragon 855+, while the Z Flip 5G arrived with the Snapdragon 865+. Not many people will complain when it comes to this processor choice, especially if the pricing rumors are accurate.
The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is rumored to cost $999. Well, its pricing will start at that price tag. That means that it will be considerably more affordable than both the Z Flip and Z Flip 5G were at launch.
Samsung will include a 15W charging support inside this phone, and the device will likely offer wireless charging. A 15W charger has been mentioned in a recent certification in China. We do hope that such a charger will be included, even though it’s not specifically fast.
The device’s design did surface recently as well. It showed us a two-tone design for its back. The phone’s cover display will be larger this time around, while two cameras will be placed on the back.
We did not see the phone’s main display, but it will likely include a display camera hole. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is tipped to offer an under-display camera on its main display, but not the Z Flip 3.
Both of those smartphones are expected to launch in July. They will become available in August, if rumors are to be believed. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be considerably more expensive than the Z Flip 3, though that is to be expected.
