HMD Global is planning for an event on April 8. This is the first event for the brand in 2021, and we expect to see new Nokia smartphones.

No more details yet announced, and the poster doesn’t reveal anything special. Just a man looking through pine trees, and there is a hashtag #LoveTrustKeep.

Although not many details are available about this event, it is possible to guess what smartphones are going to be introduced. Dated back to January 2021, some sources reported that Nokia might unveil the 7.3/7.4 models in Q1 2021 and even some renders along with a video surfaced online that illustrated the design.

Nokia 7.3/7.4 are the successor models for Nokia 7.2, and they come with thin bezels and a chin. There will also be a 6.5-inch FHD+ HDR PureDisplay, primary 48 megapixels camera, 24 megapixels selfie camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging. The phone features a Snapdragon 690 SoC, and it supports 5G connectivity. Moreover, 4GB/6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB variants are available.

Nokia’s upcoming smartphone is the first phone that receives Snapdragon 690. A rear-facing fingerprint scanner, A dual-LED flash, and a Type-C USB are other things that might come to Nokia 7.3. The price is unknown yet, but it might be around €399. This is very competitive price and helps Nokia to outperform others.

More smartphones waiting for the unveiling

It seems that the 7.3 won’t be the only smartphone that Nokia is going to introduce. Nokia 6.3 and 6.4 are another smartphones in the queue, and we expect to see them at April 8 event. A 6.4-inch Full HD+ display with a notch, 5G connectivity, 16-megapixels front camera, and a 48-megapixels rear camera with ultra-wide, macro, and depth sensor are expected.

The device might feature a Snapdragon 480 SoC and Adreno 619 GPU. Models with 3GB/4GB/6GB RAM will be available, and customers can choose 32GB/64GB/128GB variants. The battery capacity will be 4,500mAh. Nokia 6.3/6.4 are the first mid-range smartphones from Nokia that feature 5G connectivity.

Nokia is not done yet. The 5.5 and 8.4 models are another smartphones for rest of the year. There is no further details yet and we need to wait until second half of the year.

Nokia might change the names

Of course, there are some rumors about changing the naming pattern for Nokia smartphones. Nokia currently uses numbers with dots to mention its products. But this pattern will likely change, and the company might use a more straightforward method. The G10 and H10 are the names that will probably be included on the new Nokia lineup and will replace 6.3 and 7.3.
