Samsung has started to roll out an Android 11 update for its Galaxy A70. The One UI 3.1 is another update that is coming to the device.

According to the timeline that Samsung released in December 2020, the Galaxy A70 was supposed to receive the new version of Android in May 2021. But the company is rolling the update before the scheduled time, which is also a piece of good news for owners. The update is currently available for Ukrainian users, and more countries will receive it in the coming weeks.

The package weighs 1.9GB, and you need a stable internet connection to receive it. You are likely to receive a notification when an update is available for your device, but if you missed the notification, check the Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Users can also get March 2021 security patch alongside Android 11 and One UI 3.1. The update will address the vulnerabilities and keep the device safe. Samsung previously rolled out this update for its other devices, like Galaxy S21.

Enjoy the phone’s new UI with One UI 3.1

Releasing the One UI 3.1 update is good news for Galaxy A70 owners and allows them to enjoy a new user interface on their device. The One UI 3.1 is released for many devices, like Galaxy S20 FE, Z Fold 2, and Tab S7.

Of course, the 4G versions of Galaxy A71 in Europe and North America have started to receive the One UI 3.1 and Android 11 weeks ago. The Galaxy S21 was the first device that received the update. Now Samsung is expanding it to more range of devices.

The update brings some changes to the device and adds a bunch of cool stuff. Of course, not all of the Galaxy devices are eligible to receive the One UI 3.1 features. It depends on Samsung policies to bring what features to the phones. Mid-range devices have a lower chance for receiving the full package.

Google Discover feed integration, Google Home Device Controls, Google Duo integration, video call effects, removing GPS location data from photos & Private Share, continuing apps on other devices, and eye comfort shield are some promised features for One UI 3.1 update. As said, Samsung will decide which of these features to be added to Galaxy A70.

The One UI 3.1 update brings changes to the Camera app too. Director’s view, Vlogger view, Single Take 2.0, and focus enhancer are some other features that might come to Galaxy A70 Camera after the update.
