If the Samsung galaxy S21 is a bit too expensive for your liking, then you might be aware that Samsung actually has a Fan Edition of the Galaxy S20 that they launched last year. It offers customers a cheaper alternative to the Galaxy S21 (and Note 20), while also seeing it get an upgrade to the Snapdragon 865 while sporting 5G.

Samsung also launched a version that only came with LTE, but now for some odd reason, a new report from SamMobile suggests that Samsung isn’t done with the Galaxy S20 FE yet. The report claims that Samsung is working on yet another variant of the Galaxy S20 FE LTE, but the main difference here would be that this phone would also come with the upgraded Snapdragon 865 chipset, similar to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, but will only support LTE.

Are you confused yet? Because we know we are.

This is a huge slap in the face for customers who might have purchased the LTE only variant of the Galaxy S20 FE. The phone was extremely affordable all things considered, but if those customers had waited, they would have gotten what would essentially be the same phone but with better hardware.

We’re not sure what Samsung is thinking here, but it is possible that this version could be exclusive to certain regions and Samsung could be catering towards those markets. Either way, hopefully we’ll have more details soon.
