The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are expected to be announced in the very near future and some new official renders (at least, they're official according to the leak) have popped up today that show the phone in a new light.

Now to be clear the phone has leaked a few times before and that includes the entire design of the device. But these appear to be the best quality official renders so far, showing off both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro and in various colors.

Naturally, because you get a pretty clear look at the device in all of these leaked images, the phones look pretty great. Or about as great as one could expect without holding the phone in their own hands.

OnePlus 9 renders show the phone's many color options

If you like colors, even on your tech, then you'll probably like the color options you get with the OnePlus 9 series. Both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro appear to come in three colors.

Of course one of those colors is available in both models. Which is black. At least it appears this way as both variations look black. That being said, the black variation of the OnePlus 9 Pro seems to be more of a matte color, and it looks almost like the sandstone options OnePlus has offered on past devices.

If you don't count that, and still consider both variations as being a black color, then that leaves only two unique colors for each version of the phone.

The OnePlus 9 Pro comes in black, what looks like silver, and then a green color. Meanwhile the OnePlus 9 comes in black, a light purple, and light blue.

The OnePlus 9 5G may use a plastic frame instead of metal

One of the other interesting details mentioned in this image leak is that OnePlus may not use the same material for the frame as it has on past devices.

Specifically, it's mentioned that the OnePlus 9 may use a plastic frame instead of metal this time around. While that won't be entirely clear till the announcement of these devices, that seems to be the rumor at this point.

If OnePlus is going to use a plastic frame, then this would potentially only apply to the OnePlus 9 and not the OnePlus 9 Pro. As the images of the Pro model clearly show the antenna bands. The images of the 9 however do not. Which is where the speculation in the leak comes from.
