Google is dropping the latest feature drop for the Pixel lineup today, along with the March 2021 security patch. And one of the bigger features coming to the Pixel smartphones, is the ability to take photos underwater. Now remember that the Pixel is waterproof, but only up to 30M. So Google recommends using the Kraken Sports' Universal Smart Phone Housing to capture photos in the sea.

Underwater, you can use Night Sight, Portrait Mode, Motion Photos and more, which can make for some really incredible pictures.

Big changes to the recorder app

Google is also bringing big changes to the Recorder app on Pixel. Like the ability to share your audio files from the Recorder app. This means that anyone can listen to it, even if they don't have a Pixel smartphone. It'll be available at recorder.google.com to listen to recordings. Which means you can do it on your computer too.

Google also now allows users to back up their recordings to their Google Account to help keep them safe.

This Feature Drop also brings in some new wallpapers for the Pixel. Google is adding some new wallpapers that celebrate different cultural moments throughout the year. Just in time for International Women's Day on March 8, Pixel has some new wallpapers that were illustrated by Spanish duo Cachetejack, which focuses on the strength and transformation of Women.

Finally, the Pixel is also going to adapt to you and your routine with this update. Smart Compose (that popular feature from Gmail) is now coming to select Messaging apps on your Pixel. So it can compose your sentence for you. It's currently only available in the US and in English only.

Speaking of your routine, with the Pixel Stand you will see a new, updated bedtime screen. There are also redesigned notifications to help you ease into sleep. It's available on Pixel smartphones that support wireless charging. That's the Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 5.
