If you just picked up (or were given) a new Android smartphone, this is the place to start. Here, we are going to show the most essential accessories that you need to buy for your brand new Android smartphone.
This list ranges from cases, to earbuds, to chargers, to cables and everything in between. So that you’ll have all the accessories you will need to make the most out of your brand new Android smartphone.
Some of these accessories will differ based on what Android smartphone you have. But for the most part, they will work well with every Android smartphone on the market. And there’s something in everyone’s budget. So even if you have very little to spend, there’s something you can pick up and make the most of your smartphone experience.

Anker PowerCore Slim 10000 PD | $29.99 | Amazon |
First up on our list are Spigen Cases. Spigen makes plenty of cases for just about every Android smartphone out there, making them a permanent option on all of our accessories list. Their cases are really impressive. Whether you’re looking for a super thin case, or a thicker case that can take some damage. Spigen has something for you.
Additionally, Spigen cases are also very cheap, almost all of them are under $20. With many of them being under $10. If you’re looking for some other options for smartphones, we do have those lists listed below.

The Samsung EVO Select micro SD card is a must-have smartphone accessory, if you just picked up a new smartphone with a micro SD card slot. Like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or even the LG Wing.
A micro SD card will allow you to expand your storage for just a few bucks, rather than paying $100 to double the storage when you buy your phone. And this particular micro SD card is a really good option, because it runs at the same speed as your internal storage. So you can run your apps off of it. In addition to storing your photos, videos and music on it.

A car mount is another must-have on the list of Android smartphone accessories. Especially if your car does not have Android Auto. As you’re going to want to use your phone for navigation and possibly playing music too. While the photo above does show an iPhone 12, you can use this iOttie car mount with any smartphone.
The good thing about this car mount, is that it does not use magnets. While that’s a great way to keep your phone attached to your mount, it also doesn’t work to well with a thick case attached to it. iOttie uses adjust able arms and there is also a foot to keep your phone in place. There is also quite a few adjustments you can make here to the angle.

It never hurts to have an extra cable (or two) laying around for charging your smartphone. And the reason why we chose this USB-C cable is pretty simple. For one, it’s USB-C to USB-C, which is needed for the newer versions of fast charging that use USB-C PD. These support up to 100W.
Additionally, these are braided nylon cables. Which are going to be a whole lot stronger than regular cables. These can withstand punishment from kids as well as pets. So you won’t need to worry about either one chewing on your cables and destroying them.
Yes, that does make these cables a bit expensive, USB-C is still fairly new technology. But it is well worth the price.

The iOttie Ion is a really great wireless charger to pick up. In fact, it’s the one that I use to charge my Pixel 5. It’s great because it does look really nice, but also is a stand. So you can see your notifications, time, etc., when your phone is charging. Thanks to the always on display on your phone.
The only downside with the iOttie Ion is the fact that it’s “fast” wireless charging is pretty slow. It supports up to 7.5W. Which was fast a couple of years ago. But a lot of smartphones have moved to 10W and 15W. With OnePlus doing 30W right now. So if you do pick this one up, I’d recommend using it on a bedside table, and using it at night. Where it doesn’t matter how long it takes to charge. As long as it is at 100% when you wake up.
Oh, and it does come with the charger. Many other wireless chargers drop the wall charger to make it cheaper.

PhoneSoap is another great accessory to get for your smartphone. Especially in the current pandemic times. Basically, it’s a UV smartphone sanitizer. Put your phone inside PhoneSoap and it will use UV-C light to kill any and all germs on your smartphone. And while it’s in there, it’ll charge via wireless charging. Making it a win/win situation.
Since the COVID-19 virus can live on your smartphone, it’s a good idea to grab a PhoneSoap and keep your phone nice and clean. Even without COVID-19, this was a good idea to grab. Since our phones are dirtier than a toilet, according to some studies. And that’s just plain gross.
So for $99, it’s definitely a good investment for your new smartphone.

There are many different pairs of earbuds that we could have put on this list. But we wanted to add something that would work with any smartphone. The Pixel Buds work best with a Pixel, Galaxy Buds work best with a Samsung smartphone, etc. The Sony WF-1000XM3 work great with any smartphone – Android or iOS.
Additionally, these offer some really great sounding audio. These do have Sony’s EXTRA BASS technology inside, which offer some insanely sounding bass out of these earbuds. The battery life is pretty decent, lasting around 6-7 hours on a charge. With the included carrying case, you’ll get around 24 hours of playback here.
Of course, these work with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The Fitbit Versa 3 is the best smartwatch that you can use with Android. It’s actually rather unfortunate, but it is true. Most of the Wear OS watches are not great. The Versa 3 does work with both Android and iOS of course.
This is more of a fitness tracker than a smartwatch, but it does have a good amount of apps to use on your wrist. There’s also Fitbit Pay and Google Assistant available. Amazon Alexa is available too, so you can choose which assistant you want.
The Fitbit Versa 3 will track just about everything. Your steps, calories burned, your sleep, workouts and even swimming. So you can really use it to get into shape, especially as we approach the new year.

We’re rounding out this list with the Anker PowerCore Slim 10000 PD for a couple of reasons. One, it’s a pretty slim battery pack, and it offers up USB-C PD for charging and charging your phone. So you can bring one charger with you to charge your smartphone and/or your battery pack. Making things convenient for when we can travel again.
It also offers up PowerIQ, which is a proprietary Anker technology. It’s used to deliver the fastest charge possible to your smartphone, safely.
On the USB-C PD front, it supports up to 18W, which is fairly slow. But the faster a battery pack does power delivery, the less juice you’re going to get out of it. So it’s understandable.
