UFC 262 is happening this Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX.
And a new lightweight champion will be crowned, in the main event. Charles Oliveira vs Michael Chandler in the main event for the lightweight championship. Among four other bouts happening on the main card.
UFC 262 is a bit different this time around. As the main event between Oliveira and Chandler isn’t really a bout that’s going to take over social media, but it is the right fight for the UFC to put on. After Connor McGregor lost to Dustin Poirier, this was the bout that needed to happen.
Chandler is a long-time champion in rival promotion Bellator. And made a pretty incredible entrance into the UFC. He iced Dan Hoker in one punch back at UFC 257. Meanwhile, Oliveira had a mixed early career in the UFC. And has since developed into maybe the most feared grappler in MMA right now. Meaning that both of these fighters have earned this shot at the lightweight championship.
UFC 261 has the same start times as usual.
The early prelims start at 6:30PM ET, with the prelims starting at 8PM ET. And the main card starting at 10PM ET.
The early prelims and prelims are not part of the PPV. You’ll be able to watch those on ESPN+ without buying the PPV. While the prelims will also be available on regular ESPN.

The card is subject to change, and likely will. We’ve seen a lot of card changes during the COVID-19 pandemic era due to different reasons. But here is the current card that we expect to see on May 15.
UFC 262 will be available exclusively on ESPN+. You’ll need to be an ESPN+ subscriber, and you also need to purchase the PPV. Otherwise, you’ll only be able to watch the early prelims.
ESPN+ has raised the price on the PPV, and the UFC 262 PPV will be the first one with this new price. It’ll cost you $69.99 if you are a ESPN+ subscriber.
If you are not a ESPN+ subscriber, you’ll need to bundle ESPN+ or the Disney Bundle with the PPV to watch the PPV. The Disney bundle is a really great purchase. Even with Disney+’s new price hike. You can get Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu with ads for $13.99 per month, or get Hulu ad-free for $19.99 per month. But you do still have to pay $69.99 for each PPV.
With ESPN+ you also get the ability to watch the PPV on just about any platform you wish. Whether that is Android, Android TV, Chromecast, iOS, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Samsung and Vizio smart TVs. It’s everywhere you are. So no matter where you are, you’ll be able to watch this PPV.
ESPN+ also has a lot of other original content that you can watch, including plenty of UFC content. There is even an original series featuring Dana White, which walks you through the ins and outs of running the UFC. And how challenging it can be.
