Google has accidentally revealed the names of a number of unannounced Android smartphones. The company recently updated the list of devices that support Google Play Services for AR, aka ARCore, adding 23 new devices. While most of the new additions have already been released, the updated list also included a few devices that are not official yet.

Spotted by 9to5Google, the updated support document contained names of as many as 11 unreleased phones from eight different OEMs. Those include the Asus ZenFone 8 Flip, LG Stylo 7, Motorola Moto G100, Oppo Reno 5 A, Oppo Reno 5 Pro+ 5G Bosch, Realme 8 Pro, Samsung A52 4G, Samsung A72 4G, Samsung A82 5G, TCL 20 Pro 5G, and the ZTE Z6650S.

Google spills the beans on several unannounced smartphones

We have heard plenty about some of these unannounced phones in recent times. The Realme 8 Pro, in fact, already has a launch date. The device will go official on March 24th, alongside its cheaper sibling Realme 8, featuring a 108-megapixel quad-camera setup.

Samsung's Galaxy A52 5G and A72 5G has also leaked extensively over the past few weeks. The Galaxy A82 5G is starting to show up on the radar more often as well. The phones, at least the former two, will likely arrive at the company's Unpacked event later this week.

The Motorola Moto G100 is believed to be the global version of the Moto Edge S that launched in China in January this year. Motorola recently posted a teaser for this device, which features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 870 processor. It may launch in the coming weeks.

The Oppo Reno 5 A and Reno 5 Pro+ 5G Bosch are seemingly newer variants of the Reno 5 series that already includes the Reno 5 5G, Reno 5 Pro 5G, Reno 5 Pro+ 5G, Reno 5 4G, and Reno 5 K. It's unclear what the upcoming models will bring to the table.

Google confirms ASUS ZenFone 7 and LG Stylo 6 have their successors pending launch

Some other phones that Google has spilled the beans on, meanwhile, aren't heard of much. The ZenFone 8 Flip could be Asus' next flagship phone. The "Flip" name suggests that it may equip a flip camera system similar to the ZenFone 7 series.

The LG Stylo 7 should succeed the Stylo 6 launched last year. This lineup is famous for offering stylus support at affordable prices. Expect to see these two devices, as well as the TCL 20 Pro 5G and the ZTE Z6650S, pop up on the internet more often in the coming months.

The entry on the official support document doesn't reveal anything about the phones themselves, except that they are compatible with Google's augmented reality (AR) services. However, it does spill the beans on a number of unannounced devices.

Needless to say, it was a mistake from Google. The company has removed all the new additions from the list, including the official ones. However, the damage has already been done. Expect it to update the list again, only adding the official phones. The list should also be updated once the likes of ZenFone 8 Flip and other unannounced phones go official.
