The Montblanc Summit Lite is the luxury brand’s most recent Wear OS smartwatch, and it’s available in the US today. For the not low low price of $860 you can pick up this stylish timepiece that uses an old chipset.

Powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100, the Montblanc Summit Lite is technologically on par with smartwatches from around two years ago. But it comes in a much more upscale and stylish housing. So if the prestige of donning a luxury watch brand is right up your alley, this is probably the least expensive you’ll be able to do so.

While the watch has been available since the beginning of this year, this is the first time it’s been available in the US officially.

For $860, the Montblanc Summit Lite gives you options

If you’ve decided to take the plunge on this watch, then you have at least one other choice to make. And that’s the color/style of the watch you want.

Montblanc offers this watch in four different styles for you to choose from. Two come with a black aluminum watch case, and the other two come with a gray aluminum watch case. From there your options split off into which kind of strap you want.

Both the gray and black options come with a black rubber strap. Although the straps themselves are slightly different in look. Then there’s the black case with a black fabric strap, and the gray case with a blue fabric strap.

Of course, you can also switch out the straps after the fact as well. And Montblanc even has a variety of additional straps for you to choose from. Just in case the ones that come with the watch aren’t as much to your liking.

Specs that are par for the course

Other than the brand name and the couple of unique Montblanc aesthetic elements, everything else is pretty on the level with other Wear OS options.

From the Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset to the 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. All the tech inside can be found on smartwatch options running on Wear OS for hundreds less. While the Montblanc Summit Lite will no doubt look great sitting on most people’s wrists, ask yourself if the $860 is worth it.

Because there are lots of smartwatch options out there. And many of them offer excellent experiences at a small fraction of the price you’ll pay for the Summit Lite.
