The OnePlus Watch will almost certainly launch on March 23, as more proof just surfaced. The device just got certified in Malaysia, adding more fuel to the fire. The watch popped up on Malaysia’s SIRIM certification site.

The model that got certified is the W310GB, it is the same one that popped up on IMDA and BIS listings. Pretty much every source said that the OnePlus Watch will launch alongside the OnePlus 9 series, and now we know when exactly.

The OnePlus Watch will likely launch alongside the OnePlus 9 series on March 23

OnePlus confirmed earlier today that the OnePlus 9 series is coming on March 23. The company also confirmed its Hasselblad partnership, as part of that announcement. OnePlus is putting a huge focus on the OnePlus 9 series cameras, especially the OnePlus 9 Pro.

In any case, several tipsters did suggest that the OnePlus Watch will launch alongside the OnePlus 9 series. Those are well-known tipsters, so even though OnePlus did not mention that the watch will launch, it almost certainly will. Everything points in that direction.

Now, this smartwatch will become the company’s very first smartwatch, ever. We’re not sure if it will be called the OnePlus Watch, but it seems like that will be the case.

This wearable will be round, and likely run Wear OS

Based on the information Max Jambor shared last year, this smartwatch will be of the round variety. We’re still not 100-percent sure it will run Wear OS, but it looks like it. OnePlus has been working with Google to improve Wear OS, so… there you go.

You can expect a customized version of Wear OS on the watch, though. OnePlus almost certainly made some changes to it, as it always does with its OxygenOS skin for its smartphones.

When it comes to specifications, nothing is known yet. This watch will almost certainly be water and dust resistant, and include a heart rate sensor as well. We’re not sure if it will incorporate GPS yet, though. More information may surface before March 23, so stay tuned.
