OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are now official, and both are ready to offer the best Warp Charge experience yet.

In fact, according to OnePlus, the more budget-friendly OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro pack an improved dual-cell battery rated at 4,500 mAh. And that split battery enables the phone to charge from 1-percent to 100-percent in 29-minutes. That's via the USB-C to USB-C charging kit included with the phone.

On the wireless front, North American and European versions of the OnePlus 9 also support up to 15W Qi wireless charging.

That's all thanks to the new Warp Charge 65T, but the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro can also charge wirelessly faster than ever. Especially if users are willing to buy the official Warp Charge 50 wireless charger. Wireless charging takes the charging time up by a few minutes but still charges a phone from 1-to-100-percent in 43-minutes.

This should also remain cooler than ever, with great speed even from third-party chargers

On the other side of the equation, this phone has new advanced cooling solutions. And the company is ensuring its charger will work with other gadgets too. As well as being compatible with third-party chargers.

On the former front, the company built-in an optimized five-layer heat dissipation structure. That's built from a large-area VC soaking plate, graphite, copper coil, thermal gel, and carbon copper. The new structure should help keep the phone from heating up too much despite the rapid dual-cell charging.

When charging with a third-party charger, the rates won't be quite as good. But they'll still be at least as good as top competing flagships on the market.  Both phones will support both PD and Qualcomm's QC fast charging. That's up to 18W, although PPS won't be supported with third-party chargers.

If users need to use their included Warp Charge 65 charger on other gadgets PPS will be supported. As will 45W PD charging. So a MacBook, Nintendo Switch, tablet, or another gadget can be charged using the new charger at up to 45W.

When can you get Warp Charge on the new OnePlus 9 series?

The OnePlus 9 series flagships will be available on April 2 from the company's official website. But pre-orders will start on March 26. So buyers can start ordering cases and accessories well in advance. The phones themselves, available in Astral Black and Winter Mist for the OnePlus 9 or Pine Green and Morning Mist for the OnePlus 9 Pro, will start at $729 or $969 respectively. That's CAD $999 and $1,349.

The new Warp Charge 50 wireless charger, conversely, will be available at the same time. And that will cost $69.99 — CAD $99.99.
