The Black Shark 4 is probably this year’s most affordable gaming smartphone and it’s now globally available. It’s also the most unassuming. Now globally does not mean everywhere. But the Black Shark 4 is available in a large range of different regions worldwide.
This includes the US, the UK, the EU, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Macao, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the UAE. For global regions, Black Shark lists the phone in USD, though exact amounts will vary based on each region’s local currency.
The Black Shark 4 is the latest gaming smartphone to reach the US market. Following the likes of the RedMagic 6 and the ASUS ROG Phone 5. Although the ROG Phone 5 is not yet available in an official US model. The Black Shark 4 is also the least expensive of these three phones.
If you want to pick up a Black Shark 4 in the US, it will cost you $499. This will net you the 8GB RAM model which comes with 128GB of internal storage space. For many this will probably be more than enough on both fronts.
But for those that need or want a little more, there’s also the $599 model. This version of the phones comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. Compared to the other recently announced gaming phones this year, this seems like it could be less powerful.
After all the ROG Phone 5 and other gaming smartphones are coming with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. Not to mention the Snapdragon 888 mobile platform as opposed to the Black Shark 4’s Snapdragon 870.
On the contrary though, the Black Shark should be more than capable of handling your most demanding mobile games. This includes titles like Call Of Duty: Mobile, Diablo Immortal (if you’re in the closed alpha), or PUBG: Mobile just to name a few.
You can pay for the phone in the US but those sales are only pre-orders. As the phone won’t ship until next month. Officially the open sales of the Black Shark 4 begin on May 6. Phone could also ship to those that pre-ordered on this date or arrive by that date.
The phone comes in two colorways. A Mirror Black and a Pale Gray. Pale Gray only comes in the 8GB RAM model though, and it isn’t currently a color you can select so this likely isn’t launching until a little bit later.
