According to a new piece of information that surfaced, the OnePlus 9 Pro display will be less curved than you may think. This information comes from Tech Droider, as he shared the info on Twitter.

The OnePlus 9 Pro display is less curved than the one on its predecessor

He shared an image, which shows the curve on both the OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 8 Pro (pictured above). It is quite obvious that the 9 Pro’s display is considerably less curved than the 8 Pro’s.

This is not surprising at all. Many people have been complaining about curved displays, especially if those curves are too pronounced. They can cause accidental presses, and make the phone more difficult to use, at least in one hand.

Because of this, some companies have started decreasing curves on displays, like Samsung, for example. Well, OnePlus will follow in its footsteps, as the OnePlus 9 Pro will be one of such phones.

In case you’re wondering what’s the deal with the regular OnePlus 9, well… chances are that it won’t sport a curved display at all. That handset is rumored to ship with a flat display, so the curvature won’t be an issue.

The company’s new flagships will become official on March 23

The OnePlus 9 series will become official on March 23. The company had confirmed that date already. In addition to the two aforementioned phones, the OnePlus 9R may launch, the company’s mid-ranger. The OnePlus Watch has been teased by the company, its very first smartwatch.

Now, OnePlus already confirmed so much information about its upcoming smartphones. The company even shared official renders of the OnePlus 9 Pro, leaving very little to the imagination.

Those renders did show the phone’s display, and based on them, it seemed like the OnePlus 9 Pro’s display won’t be as curved as the 8 Pro’s. Well, this information from Tech Droider pretty much confirms it.
